This deck of cards was created by my husband. He wrote a poem that described his heart for Democracy. Each line of the poem is represented with an image on the individual cards with the entire poem fit to size on the back of each card.

Inspired in my father's name, a WWII veteran and Sgt. Major  who at 16 years of age joined the service in Guyanna to fight the Nazis in North Africa to save the World, for us, from Authoritarianism. My mother, our Queen, brought me to this land of Liberty where I was taught that citizenship meant participation to safeguard the Liberty I inherited for the next generation.

I believe that Democracy is the binding agreement amongst Citizens for self governance enshrined in the Constitution of the USA and enforced by our institutions and system of Justice. Virtue, honesty, informed, and rule of Law were key values of this idea from the very beginning.

How are we doing today?

Every generation's struggle, calls upon those willing to die for one cause or idea or another. I for one cannot turn my back in dishonor of the Patriots that defended Liberty from Tyrany and slaughter with their lives across this world, for me. Indifference to human suffering and oppression is an abomination. I have chosen my pen as my sanity and as my sword.
